Newsflash - West Sussex County Council have agreed to purchase the land adjacent to the school from Mid Sussex District Council. Fund raising will now start to secure, level and convert the land and make it suitable for school use. Welcome 'Sheddingdean - where we learn and flourish together, as part of a creative and caring community.'
Our school was built in 1987 on the northern outskirts of Burgess Hill, a semi-rural part of mid-Sussex. It was originally intended as an infant school, but because of its popularity and growing numbers, it became an all through primary school in 1993. We are still a relatively small school with under 200 pupils on roll. We hope you enjoy looking through this website and that you gain a flavour of the special atmosphere of our school which is at the heart of the Sheddingdean Community. The 'Parents and Visitors Area' has lots more information about our school. If you'd like to find out what the children have been up to recently in the school, make sure you visit the 'School News Area' - all the news is written by the children! Quote from Ofsted 2011: "Parents and carers are very supportive of the school and one parent's comments sums up the views of others: 'The children are known as individuals and their educational needs are quickly identified and catered for."
